RESIDUAL CURRENT MONITORING
In order to ensure a smooth running of the operation processes and high system availability the installation of a residual current monitoring is recommended for the power supply in buildings containing information technology facilities. This provides additional information on the operating and safety sataus of the switchgears. It detects current leakage and accidentially installed N-/PE bridges. This reduces the fire hazard considerably.
To provide a "clean" TN-S system you should monitor the current at the following points:
- in the N-/PE bridge
- at the central grounding point
- at important floor distributions
- at important load feeders
